Spooky Doll’s Head makes its debut at the Royal Academy?

For more than 250 years, The Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition has given artists the chance to have their work displayed at its prestigious London headquarters. The exhibition is open to anyone — although there is a cap of 16,500 submissions. The judges choose about 4,000 pieces from these 16,500 digitally-submitted entries, and those who make the shortlist are invited to deliver their artwork to the Royal Academy for the second round. This is judged in person by the committee members, who narrow the list down again to about 1,000 successful entries.

The 2024 Exhibition explores the idea of “making space”. We are delighted to announce that Spooky Doll’s Head has found a space in the finalists for this year’s show. It will be delivered for in-person judging in May. We’ll keep you posted!
